The color rendering index is between 90 and 100, which is excellent and can meet the needs of places with accurate color contrast, and stadium lighting is the pursuit of this excellent color rendering ability. The color rendering index is between 80 and 89, which is good, and the color of objects is realistic. The color rendering index is between 60 and 79, which is average. Under this kind of lighting, it is no problem to judge the color correctly. The color rendering index is between 40 and 59, and the color rendering effect is barely acceptable. It is no problem to use it in places with relatively low color requirements. The color rendering index is between 20 and 39, which is very poor.

Another factor that affects the color of things is the color temperature. For outdoor sports facilities, 4000K or higher is generally required, especially at dusk, to have a better match with daylight. The on-site color rendering index and color temperature are greatly affected by environmental factors such as voltage fluctuations, the color of the venue and surrounding buildings and seats, and the standard values are determined based on actual statistical results.

There is also a glare value to control the stadium lighting. The higher the glare value, the more dazzling the light. The brighter the stadium, the greater the possibility of a high glare value. The direct way to avoid glare is to hang the stadium lighting fixtures high in the air so that even if the athletes look up at the ball in the air, the light of the stadium lighting fixtures will not directly hit their eyes. Of course, considering economic and safety issues, stadium lighting fixtures will not be hung very high. The height of the light poles of a five-person football field is generally between 8 and 15 meters, the height of the light poles of a seven-person football field is generally between 12 and 20 meters, the height of the light poles of an eleven-person football field is generally between 15 and 25 meters, and the height of the light poles of a four-hundred-meter track and field stadium is generally between 25 and 35 meters.
