The biggest challenge in operating LED street lamp heads is heat dissipation. Poor heat dissipation can quickly lead to failure. During daily use, regularly check the cleanliness of the heat dissipation surface. If the operating environment is clean, the main concern is dust accumulation, which is easily removed. Please pay attention to safety when cleaning. When maintaining LED lights, please note the following points:

1. Avoid frequent on-off cycles. Although LED lights have an on-off frequency approximately 18 times that of ordinary fluorescent lamps, frequent on-off cycles can still affect the lifespan of the LED lamp’s internal electronic components, thereby shortening the lifespan of the lamp itself.

2. Except for specialized LED lamps, avoid using ordinary LED lamps in humid environments. Humid environments can affect the electronic components that drive the LED lamp’s power supply, shortening the lamp’s lifespan.

3. Moisture-proof maintenance of the lamp is crucial. This is especially true for LED lights in bathrooms and kitchen stoves. Moisture-proof lampshades should be installed to prevent moisture intrusion, which can cause rust and electrical shorts.

4. It is best not to use water to clean LED lights. Simply wipe with a damp cloth. If water accidentally comes into contact with them, wipe them dry as soon as possible. Never wipe with a damp cloth immediately after turning them on. During cleaning and maintenance, be careful not to alter the fixture structure or replace parts at will. After cleaning and maintenance, install the fixture according to the original design to avoid missing parts or incorrect installation. When maintaining explosion-proof lamps, maintenance personnel should understand the lamp’s performance and structural signs. Following the warning, first disconnect the power cord and properly open the lampshade, then clean any accumulated dust or dirt. Regular cleaning of lamps improves light efficiency and heat dissipation, effectively extending their lifespan.

5. Intelligent Monitoring and Detection. We utilize IoT technology for remote monitoring, allowing real-time viewing of lamp status and automatic fault alerts. In addition to manual inspections, we conduct annual comprehensive inspections of the lamp structure, fasteners, and anti-rust treatment to prevent safety hazards caused by aging components.

6. Protect batteries from overcharging and over-discharging. Prolonged overcharging can easily cause thermal runaway, leading to a sharp decrease in battery capacity and deformation, as well as the potential for explosion and combustion. Over-discharging is equally undesirable. The deeper the over-discharge, the shorter the number of charge and discharge cycles, and therefore the battery’s lifespan.

To protect batteries from this perspective, you can install a battery management system (BMS). This system regulates battery voltage and effectively balances voltage and current across cells.
